NAPFA Your Money Bus Tour Comes to Boston
Could you use some free financial advice from a qualified financial planner? The NAPFA Consumer Education Foundation (NCEF), in collaboration with TD AMERITRADE Institutional and Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, will be helping Boston-area consumers make wise money decisions next week on May 20th and 21st.
Last year, the NCEF, a foundation established by NAPFA to “be an advocate for client-oriented financial services and a clearinghouse for objective consumer information,” recognized an urgent need to promote financial literacy in America. The Foundation helped organize the Money Bus Tour as a way to assist consumers and raise awareness about the need for Americans to save more and get their financial houses in order. The tour began last fall, providing free advice events and symposiums to help people across the nation begin to tune up their financial lives.
Next week, the Money Bus will be in Boston. On Wednesday, May 20th, the tour will join with the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus in a financial advice event open to the public at City Hall Plaza from 10 am to 5 pm. The bus will be located next to Government Center Station. Volunteer members of the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA) will be on hand to provide financial advice at no cost.
The next day, the bus will host a similar opportunity for the public to receive free financial advice from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Downtown Crossing (Summer Street at Hawley - on Macy’s Side) in Boston, MA. Come out and have your questions answered by a volunteer financial adviser!
